Standard First Aid

Standard First Aid incorporates all items from the Emergency First Aid course and provides a more coverage on several topics such as two-rescuer CPR and more physical injuries.

  • Lifesaving Society - Standard First Aid

    • Certification: Certification is current for 24 months from the certification date
    • Course Material: Canadian First Aid Manual
    • Recertification:
    • Completion of a Standard First Aid Recertification course with a Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid certificate that no more than three years from date issued. To remain “current”, a candidate will need to take a full Standard First Aid course after the completion of a recertification course.
    • Duration: 16 to 18 hours; Recertification course - 8 to 9 hours
